19th Annual 2015 FH Parade

A well-deserved and much appreciate sunny day ushered in the 19th annual Fairfield Harbour Parade on Sunday, December 6. With a crisp 63 degree day, the 33 groups of parade participants had smiles on their faces and a bounce in their steps. The parade route started at Pelican and Caracara and end 1.8 miles later at Red Sail Park. Along the way, MCs Ann Simpson (POA president) and Sharon Henke (POA Board Member) announced the Fairfield Harbour (FH) groups and gave a brief description of the group’s purpose. The parade was taped by Community Channel 10, Suddenlink cable and can be viewed starting Saturday, December 12. The parade marched up Pelican to the cheers of watchers and then on to Red Sail Park where the food, fellowship and festivities waited parade participants and watchers alike.

In the usual gracious and generous FH style, community residents donated 30 crock pots of soups, chilies and countless desserts. Sunset Italian Grill donated 350 hotdogs/buns, condiments and provided delicious wings. Harbour Point Golf donated the paper products, Resort Management Group donated hot chocolate and Culligan donated water. Thank you to all the residents and businesses that helped make the 2015 FH Parade a fun and community oriented event.

A special thanks to the 2015 FH Parade Committee: Waldeane Giacobbe, chair; Gayle Albertini, co-chair; Cheryl Dupree, Ann Simpson, Sharon Henke, Sandy Schulties, Sandy Eichelberger, Terry Eichelberger, Roberta Flynn and Nick Waters (FH POA Maintenance).
